Recovery day in Marigot bay – 18 july

we got an email from seats and jen that they where going to marigot bay today so after a bit of “discussion” on our pans we decided to go join them. it was a great broad reach back with about 20kts of wind on the beam. i put aimee in charge and managed to make myslef sesick working on the computer down below. we got up to 3 meter swells between the islands where we where exposed to the full atlantic. i finally came up to have beer and recover only to have us take one wave into the cockpit which managed to get both of us even...

Aimee got us up bright and early to head south the 18nm to dominica. We where concerned the winds would shift more southerly latter in the day so we bashed east around the island before heading south. This turned out to be unnecessary pain as we had more of a reach for the short sail down. We did get a bit of practice hand steering once we got in the lee of the island with the winds switching around every which way. We awoke early to winds blowing out of the south, into our anchorage.
